Chamber Programs

Business Referral Service…. The Chamber serves as a resource for existing businesses, businesses relocating to South Florida and residents. The Chamber Office also receives calls requesting information on local products and services. Callers and visitors are referred to Chamber members who fit their needs.

Student Summer Internship & Job fair…. The Chamber in cooperation with area business conducts an annual Student Summer Internship Entrepreneurship program and Job Fair. This program offers students an opportunity to; know what is expected of them in the “workplace, start looking at career choices, differentiate between school and the “real world”. It offers businesses the opportunity to; let students know what basic critical skills they are looking for so that they will be better prepared to enter the workforce.

Members to Members Discounts…. Members in good standing can take advantage of discounts offered by member businesses to other members.

Monitor Legislative Affairs…. The Chamber monitors legislative Committees to keep you abreast of legislation, which could impact the economic stability of South Florida. The Chamber receives frequent inquiries from local government, politicians and organizations on the business community’s perspective on specific issues.

Chamber Luncheons…. Chamber luncheons feature a diverse selection of speakers from the community. These events also provide an opportunity to network and conduct official Chamber business.

Chamber Seminars…. The Chamber offers training and education opportunities through seminars, scheduled throughout the year. These sessions assist our members in addressing and improving current business and community issues.

Business Resource Center…. The Chamber can provide members with literature covering the full range of owning and operating a business. If requested, the Chamber can solicit industry professionals, who might be available for consulting work free or at reduced rates.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies…. The Chamber holds ribbon cutting ceremonies for new businesses in the community. Ribbon cutting can also be arranged for relocating businesses, change of ownership, product launching, or other significant events in the life of a business.

Networking & Business Card Exchange…. The Chamber hosts these events each month.Chamber Networking & Business Card Exchange feature a diverse selection of speakers from the community and are ideal for mixing with fellow business owners in an informal and relaxing setting. Hors d’oeuvres are served throughout the evening.

Chamber Website….. The Chambers website is a valuable tool to communicate with our members, the public and visitors. The services it provides includes information on; our events, what we do, how to communicate with us, local opportunities, member to member discounts, how to join the Chamber and Chamber Benefits.

Chamber E-mail Alert…. The Chamber’s extensive database allows us to provide e-mail blasts to our members and the community about events and any other important information. It is also used as a marketing tool by our members to communicate with the public.

Disaster Relief Fund…. The Chamber disaster relief fund is a permanent fund maintained by the Chamber assist to support all types of national/international natural disaster relief efforts.

Celebrity Golf Classic Tournament…. The Chamber’s Celebrity Golf Classic Tournament has become a fixture on the charity golf circuit. An important goal of the GCACC is to provide scholarships and summer internships for deserving students. A portion of the proceeds from this tournament goes towards these programs.

UNIFEST…. Held in partnership with the Greater Caribbean American Coalition and the City of Lauderdale Lakes in June, the annual UNIFEST is a multicultural festival for the community. This carnival of diversity which attracts more than five thousand persons features the best of family entertainment with a mixture of Caribbean and American musicians, artists, foods and the Caribbean Marketplace of Island Art, Craft and Accessories. This is an excellent opportunity for established or new Businesses to interact with the Caribbean American community.

Business Award Dinner…. The Chamber established the Outstanding Guardianship Award to recognize individuals and Businesses for superior service to the community. The winners represent the most dedicated participants in community activities and also demonstrate an unselfish devotion to others. The winners are announced at the Recognition Dinner and are also featured in news articles.

Holiday Toy Drive & Year-end Celebration…. This very popular Year-end Celebration is known for its tasty assortment of foods and beverages to celebrate the holiday season. The Toy Drive is supported by local businesses with gifts and words of encouragement to the less privileged kids in the community.
